There are only 4 NBA games on the schedule for today so finding bargain bin guys will be a lot more difficult tonight than normal. On nights like this you just have to put the best possible team together, and know that everyone else is having to pick from the same guys you are. We got our top three guys to target when your bankroll starts to run low.
Dwight Powell– $3,800:
We told you to play Dwight Powell Friday and he did not disappoint. The big guy was 6-6 from the field, and put up 22.5 DK points. Tonight Powell and the Mavs will host the Orlando Magic. Powell has been splitting time with Maxi Kleber, but Powell has been receiving the bulk of the minutes even though Kleber is in the starting lineup. If Powell can stay on the floor for at least 20 minutes tonight, he should be worth the $3,800 price tag.
Skal Labissiere– $4,400:
Labissiere is a little pricier than I usually like for value guys, but with only 4 games tonight, you have to find value wherever you can. Over the last 10 games, Skal is averaging 22 points, including a 36.25 point outing last week against Charlotte. Tonight the Kings will be in L.A. to face the Lakers, and look for Skal to have a big game in front of the stars. Labissiere is a decent scoring threat, but a good percentage of his DK points come from cleaning the glass. Look for Skal to have a big rebounding night against Julius Randle.
Josh Huestis– $3,000/ Terrance Ferguson $3,500:
This last value slot is the one i’m struggling the most with. Josh Huestis and Terrance Ferguson are splitting time and it is possible that both guys will be productive tonight, but the hard part is picking which one to roster. If you have the extra money, I would give a very slight edge to Ferguson just because he is expected to start for the injured Andre Roberson, but Huestis is $500 cheaper. The decision to play Huestis or Ferguson will depend on the rest of your roster, but both guys should at least be on your radar with a small slate of games to choose from.
