There are a couple of NBA day games today, but we are only going to use the night slate on Draft Kings. There are four games to choose from, and the last game is at 7:30 CT so hopefully that will eliminate last-second scratches after lineups lock. Here are our 3 value plays for tonight.
Mason Plumlee– $4,500
Plumee has had a good stretch of DK games over the last 10 games, and his price is not quite as expensive as he is really worth just yet. Over the last 10 days, Plumlee is averaging 25.5 points including 20.8 points last night against Marc Gasol and the Memphis Grizzlies. Tonight the Nuggets are in San Antonio, and Plumlee has another fairly good matchup.
Joe Harris– $4,200
DeMarre Carroll returned to the Nets last night, which meant Joe Harris was sent back to the bench. It is still unclear who will start tonight though. It makes sense for Carroll to get the start, but many of the projections are thinking Harris will get the start to help ease Carroll back into the rotation. This will be something to keep an eye on when it gets closer to game time. Obviously Harris getting the start would help us with DK value, but I do not think it would be the end of the world to roster him even if he comes off the bench. He would still get around 20 minutes, and would have plenty of time to make himself worth the $4,200 price tag.
Zach LaVine– $4,400
Zach LaVine will make his Chicago Bulls debut tonight, and will immediately be placed in the starting lineup. He hasn’t seen NBA action since February so there will be a little bit of rust, and you can guarantee he will have a minutes restriction placed on him. Even with the rust and lack of minutes, he will have a high percentage of usage on this bad Bulls team. I think LaVine is worth a shot tonight just because he could payoff in a big way, but make sure you know what you’re getting into. There is a very good chance the rust keeps him from having a good game. LaVine tonight is definitely a gamble, but you can bet he will be a great value play in the next few games as the rust fades and the price tag is still low.
